Hello - My interest isn't so much in ultra distances as it is in running in extreme conditions, with my specialty being high heat, defined here as 95* or over. Does anyone know of marathon distance or shorter trail races/runs that are specifically held in hot weather conditions? I'm familiar with the Badwater Ultramarathon but that is an invitational and longer than I would like to run regardless of the temp. Thanks to any for helpful suggestions! I've been running for over 30 years and maintain a 7.5 minute mile pace at 90* degrees at daily runs of 6-8 miles and I am 54 years old. Good running to all. |
