Ultra-Girl that doesn't train crazy, pretty clean diet with enough Iron & nutrients for a horse. Started feeling yucky and more than the usual fatigue, had my levels checked and came back anemic with low blood pressure - don't even want to walk to the mailbox. Doc gave me Iron supplements - anyone ever go thru this.....just wondering when these horse pills will take effect..and both Doc and I are pretty perplexed!?! |

I am no expert but did monitor several female athletes a few years ago who were diagnosed with low iron levels. All reported feeling somewhat better in about a week - once on iron supplements. As you are aware there can be lots of reasons for the low iron, so please ensure your Doc figures out why you are low. Please keep us posted ... and good luck. |
