Trail Running Packs

My son is a cross country runner and I train with him to keep myself in shape and spend time with him. We're both interested in trail running and are wanting to do some over night runs where we camp out on the trail. Any suggestions on good packs that are comfortable for running but also has the capacity to haul gear for an overnight trip?

You should check out some backpacking forums. Ultralight will give you an idea of how to make the lightest pack possible. The less you bring, the better for the run! Good luck!

I can't advise on running while wearing them but my husband and I love our ZPacks packs. Ultra lightweight! The standard waist strap is too thin IMO but they sell a wider version.

I have and really love the Salomon Advanced Skin 12L for longer days on the trail. I also have the 5L set for shorter days on the trail
