my race report: http://ultrachick.blogspot.com/2007/02/twin-peaks-50-stirring-endeavor.html

despite not finishing, i still had fun on those 38 miles i ran. the inaugural race was very well organized, wonderful sponsors and volunteers, beautiful, challenging course, great people. definitely recommended! (2nd annual will be on Feb. 2008)

Too bad about the DNF, but I enjoyed reading your account - well written!

February is not looking good for the board this year. I'm planning to run Twin Peaks next year. This way I can at least run in nice weather. Of course by me not running Rocky in 08, the weather will be warm. Great report despite the DNF.

you did do really well on your 80 miles, though. you'll enjoy twin peaks. jessica deline (twin peaks rd) is putting on a 100 in december, at the same location... she's talking about a 48-hr cutoff, and 31,000+ elevation gain... i'm no expert, but those numbers don't seem easy! when i feel ready (if there's such thing) for a 100 the rr100 is amongst my races of choice. (rocky raccoon, umstead, javelina jundred, lean horse).
